Crna Ovca is a unique lamb festival in Baška.

The Crna Ovca Festival is an annual event in Baška on the island of Krk and takes place during the third weekend of May. Since 2006, the festival has been dedicated to gastronomy, culture, sports, and island traditions.

The focus is on the famous Baška lamb, which visitors can taste in various dishes – from classic lamb on a spit to traditional and modern specialties. In addition to culinary experiences, the festival offers concerts, workshops, exhibitions, and sports activities.

Crna Ovca carries the “Croatian Island Product” label and is part of the Kvarner – European Region of Gastronomy 2026 project.
